Hilliard Art Museum Presents Picnic, Benefitting the Museum's Exhibition and Education Programs

LAFAYETTE, La. (press release) — The Hilliard Art Museum Picnic, presented by BMW of Lafayette, is an elegant afternoon of art, picnic fare and philanthropy in support of the museum’s mission.
“Picnic invites our community to invest in meaningful encounters with art that expand perspectives and reflect the essential role of art and culture in shaping our region,” said Molly Rowe, executive director of the Hilliard Art Museum. “The support from Picnic helps ensure these opportunities remain accessible to our entire community.”

Picnic, set beneath the trees of the museum grounds at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, takes place Sunday, May 3, inviting guests to enjoy live music by Ann Savoy and a prepared picnic fare.
Guests will receive picnic baskets with wine by James Beard-nominated Wild Child Wines, curated cheeses, freshly made baguettes and seasonal accompaniments, creating a relaxed yet refined setting for opportunities to connect with fellow art enthusiasts and patrons.
Proceeds from the event will directly support the museum’s exhibitions and year-round education initiatives, which serve university students, Acadiana families, and visitors from across the region.
“At BMW of Lafayette, we believe in investing in the communities we serve,” shared Sharon Moss, president of BMW of Lafayette, the event’s presenting sponsor. “A strong cultural landscape is essential to a thriving region, and we’re proud to support Picnic and the Hilliard Art Museum in expanding access to art and bringing people together in meaningful ways”.
Additional sponsors include: Haynie Family Foundation (culinary experience), Charles Boudreaux (entertainment) and Kiki Frayard (décor).
Tickets for the Picnic are available online.
