New Walk-On’s in Carencro Now Open
New Walk-On’s marks franchisee’s 10th Walk-On’s restaurant across Louisiana and the Southeast

CARENCRO, La. (press release) – Walk-On’s in Carencro celebrated its grand opening on Monday, July 20. The Carencro location at 3520 NE Evangeline Thwy. is the 10th location operated by the hospitality company for Walk-On’s Bistreaux, Ten Eight Concepts.
According to organizers, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is ESPN’s #1 sports bar in America.
The Walk-On’s in Carencro is led by Tony Caballero, the president and CEO of Ten Eight Concepts. The restaurant brings Walk-On’s signature game-day atmosphere to Carencro, featuring a sports bar, 52 big-screen televisions, a spacious outdoor patio and local sports memorabilia, including:
- A jersey of three-time Super Bowl champion and local legend Kevin Faulk
- A framed print honoring legendary University of Louisiana baseball Coach Tony Robichaux
- A mural featuring LSU standout and current Major League Baseball player Alex Bregman.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring Walk-On’s to Carencro and continue growing in a region that has embraced our restaurants for years,” said Caballero. “The enthusiasm we’ve seen leading up to this opening has been incredible and speaks to just how passionate this community is about the brand. This important milestone is also an exciting moment for our team as we create another place where the local community can come together, celebrate, and make lasting memories.”
The grand opening for the Walk-On’s in Carencro commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Walk-On’s Founder and CEO Brandon Landry, Tony Caballero, Mayor Charlotte Clavier, representatives from the Carencro Business Association, nonprofit partners DREAMS Foundation and Kiwanis Club of Carencro, local student-athletes and community leaders. Following the ribbon cutting, local student-athletes ran through a breakaway banner, recreating a beloved gameday tradition and energizing the crowd before the restaurant officially opened its doors.
Walk-On’s also presented a $2,500 check to each nonprofit partner, DREAMS Foundation and Kiwanis Club of Carencro, and the first 100 diners were entered for a chance to win Walk-On’s for a year.
“Opening new locations in Louisiana always carries special meaning because this is where the Walk-On’s story began,” said Landry. “Seeing the excitement from the Carencro community leading up to opening day has been incredible, and it’s a reminder of how deeply connected our brand is to this state and the local communities in it.”
The restaurant launched with Happy Hour offerings and weekly specials.
