Select Local Businesses Named One Acadiana Ambassadors

Lafayette, La (press release) – One Acadiana (1A) announced its 2026 ambassadors, comprised of 62 business and community leaders.

Serving as advocates for Acadiana’s economic growth, the Ambassador Program is One Acadiana’s most hands-on way to get involved with the regional business community.

“One Acadiana Ambassadors play an important role of fostering relationships that help businesses feel welcomed, connected and supported,” said One Acadiana President and CEO Troy Wayman.

1A Ambassadors are selected through a competitive application process that seeks out individuals who have a strong desire for community engagement, alignment with One Acadiana’s mission and past participation with the organization.

1A Ambassadors will meet monthly to discuss regional initiatives, chamber member recruitment and retention strategies and opportunities for community involvement.

Throughout the year, 1A Ambassadors can be seen supporting local businesses at ribbon-cutting celebrations, grand openings, 1A and other community events and various volunteer opportunities.

One Acadiana’s Ambassador Program was recently presented with the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (LACCE)’s Membership Engagement Award, which recognizes significant achievement or programs in membership development or engagement.
