LAFAYETTE, La. (press release) – Moncus Park was selected as one of 10 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive an award through the 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud grant program. 

Kubota is a national tractor company and the #1 selling tractor brand in the U.S. from 2005 to 2025, based on EDA data/UCC-1 filings. The 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud grant program received more than 1,100 applications from communities around the country.

Now in its sixth year, the program supports nonprofit organizations making a tangible difference in their communities and has distributed more than $2.9 million in funding and equipment to hometown projects nationwide.

Moncus Park and local Kubota dealer Sammy Broussard Equipment Center will honor the accomplishment on Tuesday, Sept. 22, with a community celebration.

How the Kubota Award Benefits Moncus Park

 Moncus Park will receive $25,000 in cash and $25,000 toward Kubota equipment. The organization plans to use the $25,000 allotment for:

  • A Kubota L4802HST/R4 tractor with canopy top
  • Kubota LA766 front-end loader equipped with a Land Pride 3rd Function Valve 

Ograniers share that both items will support the park’s Back 50: Community + Nature project. The project expands Moncus Park’s capacity to serve as a community resource through environmental education, habitat restoration and outdoor programming, with the new equipment supporting:

  • Trail development
  • Habitat restoration
  • Improvement and maintenance of natural gathering spaces

 Representatives from Moncus Park and Sammy Broussard Equipment Center will gather for the event and deliver the equipment.
