NUNU Arts Events: Life Drawing, French Table, Zydeco and More

ARNAUDVILLE, La. – NUNU Arts & Culture Collective offers several community events to partake in this summer. From art and music sessions to French and Spanish table conversations, and more, NUNU Arts events offer unique summer activities to enrich your skills and cultural experiences.
Last weekend, NUNU Arts had its bi-monthly Indigenous Table, held on the first Saturday of every other month, and a concert: An Evening with Willis Alan Ramsey and Drew Landry.

June 2-30: Tuesday Life Drawing Sessions
Every Tuesday of this month, NUNU Arts will have Life Drawing sessions, providing an artistic setting, ambient music, coffee and tea and the chance to join other artists in the creative process.

- $15 for members, $25 for non-members ($10 facility fee + $15 drawing fee)

June 13: La Tab Kreyol (Monthly French Creole Table)
Every second Saturday, NUNU, with Herbert Wiltz, hosts an informal Kreyol Class, bringing people together to explore the traditions, stories, and living heritage of Louisiana’s Creole communities.
“This is about more than an event—it’s about creating a space where culture is lived and shared in real time,” said George Marks, founder of NUNU Arts & Culture Collective and director of International Trade and Development at Le Centre. “Tab Kreyol reflects how community, culture and conversation intersect to shape who we are and how we move forward.”

- BONUS: The June 13 gathering will also serve as the backdrop for a promotional video produced by Loupe Theory, led by Founder and Executive Producer Max Zoghbi. Organizers share that the video will capture the energy and authenticity of the Creole table experience, highlighting the role of cultural exchange in community building.
June 20: Saturday Life Drawing/Painting with Clothed Model
Hosted by artist Kay Jeansonne, this extended four-hour Saturday Life Drawing session will showcase a clothed model.

June 20: Open Zydeco Jam
Every third Saturday of the month, NUNU hosts a free jam rooted in Zydeco, Creole, and Cajun traditions, and open to musicians of all skill levels and instruments.

June 27: La Table Française de NUNU
Held every last Saturday of the month, La Table Française de NUNU is a gathering via Zoom, hosted by Kevin Domingue, to bring together participants from around the world. From fluent to just beginning, those at all French-speaking levels are invited.
