LAFAYETTE, La (press release) – The second annual Lafayette Coffee Festival takes place Saturday, March 28. The venue for the festival is at the McElligott Club at ULL football stadium instead of Downtown Lafayette like last year.

“We needed more space and free parking,” said Lafayette Coffee Festival Organizer Jim Currie. “ULL was the perfect venue solution, and the new VIP McElligott Club lends a sophisticated feel that our guests will love.

More than a dozen specialty coffee roasters will offer samples. Coffee fanatics can see brew method demonstrations, learn about the coffee flavor wheel and watch green coffee get roasted to perfection.

Our coffee festival is as much about coffee education as it is drinking new flavors,” said Currie. “We had more than 1,100 foodies attend last year, and they loved the learning experiences almost as much as the coffee samples.

The world of coffee is complex, and we all have much to explore in terms of different beans, roasting options and brewing methods.  Our exhibitors are coming from all over southwest Louisiana to share new coffee experiences with our festival visitors.”
