ACADIANA, La – The Acadiana Center for the Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering art and culture throughout Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Vermilion Parishes.

The Acadiana Center for the Arts, located in Downtown Lafayette, supports works of art, exhibits, festivals, performances and more.

Jan. 20: ArtSpark Information Session 

When: 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Refresh on the program goals and guidelines of the 2026 ArtSpark program, led by Community Engagement Director Anna Kojevnikov. This presentation will include any changes to the 2026 cycle, as well as time for questions.

According to the website, ArtSpark is a competitive grant program supporting individual artists in Acadiana by providing technical support, funding and entrepreneurial training to artists in various fields.

Jan. 29: John Boutté

When: 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Price: $40

John Boutté is celebrated for his soulful, genre-blending vocal style, which fuses jazz, gospel, blues and R&B. He’s known for emotionally rich performances that reflect the spirit and struggles of New Orleans. His work has inspired a new generation of musicians and helped preserve the city’s musical heritage.

Feb. 4: Texas Headhunters: Grit, Groove & The Lone Star Truth

When: 7:30 – 9:45 p.m.

Price: $46.17 – $67.23

Texas Headhunters is what happens when three Texas guitar slingers – Ian Moore, Johnny Moeller and Jesse Dayton – finally collide on the same stage. Born from deep roots, old friendships and a shared reverence for the swaggering soul of Texas blues, this is not your average jam. It’s a movement. A reckoning. A new chapter in the book of American roots music.

Feb. 5: Creative Acadiana: Grant Writing

When: 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Join AcA Community Engagement Director and experienced grant writer, Anna Kojevnikov, as she runs down the grant writing process. Things to focus on, things to avoid and generally how to pitch an idea to a panel in a way that’s understandable, well thought out and compelling.

Feb. 11: Artist as Entrepreneur Reunion + ArtSpark Check In

When: 6 – 7:30 p.m.

A night of catching up, checking in and discussing potential new projects.

Feb. 19: ArtSpark Workshopping

When: 5 – 6:30 p.m.

A dedicated workshopping session for anyone looking to apply the the 2026 ArtSpark program. Sign up with one of our three experienced grant writers for a 15-minute personal review session to receive feedback, advice and encouragement on your application.

While you’re waiting for your session, peruse previous ArtSpark project applications to get an idea of the types of projects that get funded, how they approached their narrative and what kinds of details they included.

Feb. 20: Chris Thomas King

When: 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Cost: $40

Born in 1962, guitarist Chris Thomas King was discovered in Louisiana in 1979 by a folklorist from the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. He was introduced to the world by the venerable folk label Arhoolie Records as an authentic folk-blues successor to Huddie Ledbetter, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and Jelly Roll Morton.
