Otto Frank, a One Man Show, Pops Up at Baranco Nov. 14

LAFAYETTE, La (press release) – Award-winning actor, director and writer Roger Guenveur Smith stars as Otto Frank, the father of diarist Anne Frank, in this moving one-man show at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the Theater at Baranco, located at 801 Mudd Ave. at Baranco Elementary. This is PASA’s second Pop-Up in this historic theater.
Yes, Roger Guenveur (pronounced like “been there”) Smith has a familiar face because he’s been seen on virtually every screen. Now, we get to see him perform live in Otto Frank, a work he created with collaborator Marc Anthony Thompson.
In this powerful role, Smith explores Otto’s experience as the only member of his immediate family to survive the Holocaust. Otto Frank is an intimate meditation on our present moment through a rigorous examination of the not so distant past. Get your tickets now!
