Parish Proud, Manuel Companies and Love Our Schools Unite to Transform Carencro Schools

CARENCRO, La (press release) – Parish Proud Day has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 5. Parish Proud Day, presented by Manuel Companies in partnership with Love Our Schools, will unite the community for a day of service at Carencro High, Carencro Middle, and Live Oak Elementary. Volunteers will tackle projects chosen by school principals to ensure meaningful, lasting improvements.

The event brings together businesses, organizations, and residents to revitalize these schools through painting, landscaping, and facility upgrades. Volunteer check-in begins at 8 a.m., with projects running from 9-11 a.m.

Dr. Kip Schumacher, founder of Love Our Schools, emphasized the importance of community engagement saying, “Parish Proud Day shows the power of bringing people together to make a difference. It encourages our kids and schools to take pride in their surroundings and be stewards of their community.”

Missy Manuel, co-owner of Manuel Companies, echoed this sentiment and said, “We are excited to support Parish Proud’s work, which not only beautifies our community but also fosters student pride – key to our collective success.”
