Junior League of Lafayette’s Touch-a-Truck Event Promises an Exciting Day of Family-Friendly Fun

LAFAYETTE, La (press release) – Get ready for an exhilarating day of family-friendly fun at Junior League of Lafayette’s Touch-a-Truck event, where children of all ages can climb, honk, and explore their favorite trucks while learning about transportation. This unique opportunity will take place at Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette, Louisiana, and promises an unforgettable experience for truck enthusiasts and families alike.

Join us on March 23 for a day filled with hands-on exploration of a wide variety of vehicles including ambulances, fire trucks, excavators, garbage trucks, cranes, SWAT units, boats, BearCats, bucket trucks, skidsteers, transporters, and much more! The event aims to provide insight into the important roles these trucks play in our community.

On Call Band, a group of doctors dedicated to playing for various charity events around Lafayette, will provide the perfect musical backdrop for the day. Their repertoire includes a variety of genres, from oldies and rock to country. Not only will attendees enjoy a day of truck exploration, but they’ll also contribute to a good cause, as the event’s proceeds will benefit Junior League of Lafayette community projects.

A special Sensory Quiet Hour will take place from 2-3 p.m. During this hour, there will be no horns, sirens, or loud noises, creating a comfortable and inclusive environment for all. Engage in activities designed specifically for children during this unique experience.
