Sky High For Kids Raises Over $380,000 at 16th Annual Lafayette Banquet

LAFAYETTE, La (press release) – On Friday, Oct. 27, Sky High for Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending pediatric cancer, successfully hosted its 16th Annual Lafayette Banquet, raising more than $380,000 to further their mission of ending childhood cancer. The contributions from this event directly impact Sky High for Kids’ current pledges to Texas Children’s Research Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis, among others.
The evening commenced with a vibrant cocktail hour filled with camaraderie among fellow supporters. Attendees were also given the opportunity to engage in a silent auction featuring an impressive array of over 32 packages. These packages included items such as a two-night stay in New Orleans with two tickets to a New Orleans Saints Game and a personalized portrait of an individual or pet, created by the talented artist, Helena Cefalu.
Following the spirited cocktail hour, guests gathered for a decadent sit-down dinner and engaging program, honoring Brandi and Scotty Guidry, the owners of Cajun Carts, and highlighting the mission and accomplishments of Sky High for Kids. The program transitioned into an electrifying live auction, featuring 10 exclusive packages, led by Brittany Hebert Franklin, CEO and Founder of Sky High for Kids. Following the program, guests danced the night away to Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of support from the Lafayette community,” said Brittany Hebert Franklin. “This evening’s success is a testament to the power of our collective determination to end childhood cancer.”
The 16th Annual Lafayette Banquet served as an opportunity for individuals and businesses in the Lafayette area to come together and support a cause that touches the lives of countless children and families affected by cancer.
