Lafayette Travel’s Ben Berthelot Named Chair of Southeast Tourism Society Executive Committee

LAFAYETTE, La (press release) – Lafayette Travel President & CEO Ben Berthelot has been appointed Chair of the Southeast Tourism Society’s (STS) Executive Committee, making him the principal volunteer leader for the organization that represents the tourism industry across 13 states and Washington, D.C.

In this role, Berthelot will preside over board and committee meetings, guide the organization’s strategic direction, and serve as a key spokesperson for STS at industry events. He will work closely with STS President & CEO Monica Smith to ensure the society’s priorities are implemented, while also providing governance oversight and leadership continuity.

This is Berthelot’s second stint on the STS Board of Directors, holding multiple leadership positions along the way. His appointment as Chair emphasizes his long-term commitment to the industry and the respect he has earned among his peers throughout the Southeast.
