LAFAYETTE, La (press release) – Join in for a country dance at AcA celebrating the rural traditions of Mardi Gras in the big city.

Dr. Barry Ancelet will begin the evening with a shortened version of his annual lecture on country Mardi Gras celebrations.

Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys will take the stage and perform traditional Mardi Gras songs with guest performers by members of the Grand Marais, Basile, Tee Mamou, and Ossun Mardi Gras runs.

Dinner will be provided by Tony Chachere’s world renowned chefs.

5 p.m. – Doors open & Dinner by Tony Chachere’s world renowned chefs
6 p.m. – Lecture by Dr. Barry Ancelet
7-9:30 p.m. – Performance by Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys & Guests

Join us with a General Admission Ticket ($35) which includes food, music, dancing and canailles surprises throughout the night.
