What should we know about the new NOPSI Hotel? Located in the Central Business District, the building was originally constructed in 1927 by New Orleans’ former utility company and transit operator, New Orleans Public Service Inc. This historic landmark has been reimagined as a culturally diverse 217-room hotel.

What kind of guests does it appeal to? Experienced travelers seeking an authentic experience inspired by the rich history of our city. As the first true luxury hotel to open in New Orleans in a generation, authentic and gracious hospitality will be felt by every guest.

Why do you think it’s a good addition to the hotel scene? We deliver service unparalleled with any hotel that has opened in the city in years.

What are your favorite things on the menus? The best way to experience dining at Public Service is by sharing a number of our small plates and sharable items. I can also bring my dog Remy to the underCURRENT patio bar, where he can feast on the Browser Burger and we can both enjoy the live music.

What is coming up at the hotel in the near future? We are celebrating the 90th anniversary of the NOPSI building in November, so stay tuned!

Is there anything else you would like to share? The hotel features over 14,000 square feet of historically significant indoor and outdoor event space for groups from 10 to 600.
