Dr. David E. Allie
Once an aspiring professional baseball player, a career-ending injury instead led David E. Allie, MD, to become a pioneer in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Allie has performed over 10,000 major cardiac, vascular and general surgery procedures, over 12,000 non-surgical procedures, and 300,000 patient visits, all primarily in Acadiana.
Dr. Allie served at Cardiovascular Institute of the South before beginning the cardiovascular practice at the Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana, where he practiced for 28 years and received numerous honors including the 1999 HCA Cardiovascular Surgeon of the Year Award and Winner of the Podiatry Superbones Organization and Save a Leg Save a Life Association Lifetime Achievement Awards. In 2009, Dr. Allie founded Louisiana Cardiovascular & Limb Salvage Center in Lafayette.
This year, Dr. Allie and his partner, Dr. Raghu Patlola, plan to unveil the opening of a new, one-of-a-kind medical facility that will serve as a premier CLI and Limb Salvage Center.
