Downtown Lafayette Hosts 15th Annual Southern Screen Festival

LAFAYETTE, La (press release) – The 15th annual Southern Screen Festival will be presented in Downtown Lafayette, Louisiana Nov. 13-16.

Festival Highlights include educational session: “Film + Brand: How Entertainment Can Advance The World with Elliot Kotek (The Nation of Artists)”; and “From the Bayou to the Big Screen” panel with James Landry Hebert (“1883,” “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”) and Ryan Broussard (“Only Murders in the Building,” “Alert: Missing Persons Unit”). Film screening includes documentaries: “Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror;” “Good Time Hard-Loving Cajun Man;” and “Natchez;” Docu-narrative, “East of Wall;” and narrative feature, “Sell Out.” Additionally, the festival will show over 20 short films, many of which – organizers share – are from Louisiana filmmakers.

This year there are multiple passes to attend the four-day event. The festival is offering a discounted Industry Pass reserved for individuals who work in the fields of film, music, radio, comedy, podcasts, writing or other creative storytelling mediums, and a discounted Student Pass available to all students with a student ID. Attendees can also enjoy the festival with a Screening Pass or a Sessions Pass. Additionally, there is a Virtual Pass option for those unable to attend in person. Individual event tickets are available now and through the festival weekend.
