Suzette Tardo

Owner | Camp Bow Wow, Lafayette

Fedit Bow Wow Rebecca Taylor

Suzette Tardo opened her first Camp Bow Wow in Lafayette in 2009, and the concept has been a huge hit with pet owners across Acadiana. Suzette continues to be motivated by providing the best care and services to “campers” and their pet parents. Known for her hands-on approach, Suzette wants customers to be assured that owner involvement is a top priority.

A Lafayette native, Suzette grew up surrounded by animals. Caretaking and nurturing were always second nature to her, and life circumstances led her down a path to become both an educator and RN before she realized her dream of working with animals.

“At Camp Bow Wow, I employ the same philosophy my nursing instructors instilled in me,” says Suzette. “Take care of those you serve as you would your own.”

Camp Bow Wow Lafayette has been voted number one in boarding and grooming over the last several years in The Daily Advertiser’s “Best of Acadiana.” The company often helps dogs in need of fostering or medical care through local rescue groups and the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation®.
